21 Day Goals Revisited

March 30, 2009

Well, before I get to the goals, we’ll start with the stats. It’s the new start of a new 12 weeks for Josh and I in our program. We’ll be heading back to the old fashioned iron again. I’m not thinking we’ll do any bench presses this time around either. I’ll be designing our program tomorrow sometime. This first week, four days. Then from here on out, five days. Three actual workout days so we’ll be doing basically full body each time. Then two variety days which Josh might not do both with me since I’m hoping for yoga/pilates for one of them. It also is still NOT warm enough to run in the mornings so I’m stuck sleeping in. Sounds terrible, I know ;).

From 12 weeks ago
Now 12 weeks ago Start (8-10-08) 12 week difference
Weight——-124.5—–127.5————-132————-(-3)
Bodyfat %—-21.5——25.5————–27————–(-4%)
rib cage (inch)–29——29.5————–30.75———–(-.5)
natural waist–27.75—–27.75————29————–(+/- 0)
bellybutton—31——–31.5————–33————–(-.5)
hips (asis)—-36——–36—————37—————(+/- 0)
booty——–37——-38—————–not measured—-(-1)
thigh———21.25—-21.5————–22—————-(-.25)

All very boring there so hopefully I didn’t just put you to sleep :).

Now the past 21 days:
gas envelope system- Completed 🙂
Buy curtains for Karma’s room- Completed 🙂 but still working on painting
No cake/cookies/donuts’n’stuff- Success!!! 🙂
Flexibility workout x1/wk- Lacking 😦
Organized kitchen cupboards/drawers/closet- DONE!!!! 🙂

4/5 isn’t too bad.

Here’s what’s coming up-
call for lower interest rate
get my daughter a new light plate rather than the princess one she hated (and keep painting)
add an ounce of nuts per day (probably in my salad to reaffirm my salad habit)
Stretch before going to bed
Organize bookshelves and cabinets downstairs in living room, family room, and dining room- the dining room is mostly done already because that’s where I keep my holiday stuff and I organized that earlier this year already

So anyway, it’s past my bedtime so I’m going to head to bed. I’ve got a ton of crap to do tomorrow so I’ll try to squeeze in a post right when I get home from work to post pics of my daughter after her strings concert tonight. It was a pretty good concert. Over 800 strings in total, but not all at once. I think they said the most at once was about 500- still quite a lot.

Sometimes I go a bit nuts with the goals but I have a total of 85 goals for the year :). I think it’s doable ;).

Hi there.. Guess who is back 🙂 It sure seems like it has been awhile and I am sorry for the delay. Now I am getting overwhelmed with all the blogs I have to catch up on and yours was one of my first stops 🙂
What a great job you did on your 21 day goals. I am so proud of you and very envious of how you set these goals and work on them one step at a time. The goals that you set are also realistic which probably makes it a bit easier as well.
Good thinking about adding nuts to your salad. This way it’s like accomplishing 2 goals at once. personally I like to add roasted almonds to my salad. There the best.
Sorry that this is short. I just wanted to stop by and say Hi and to let you know I am thinking about you and have missed you as well.
You really and truly are doing an awesome job…
Now time to pay Luke a visit….. 😉

This past week or two I haven’t been so good with the salads. I was thinking it would be a great way to refocus my attention to good foods rather than the chips and stuff I’ve been supplementin with :). Chips are the next to go and I didn’t think I’d react the way I am since I’m not really a chip person. I’ve also decided that my next cut of chips will lead to a two cheats per week which I’m hoping will ease some of the cravings I’ve been having lately.

I’ve never tried almonds, but I’m going to! Thanks for stopping by :).

You got a 4% drop on bodyfat? Nice!
Good job getting most of those goals done Michelle!

Luke, the 4% is a general guideline :). My scale is a digital scale. Sometimes I think it reads low and other times I think it reads high. I could step on there every day and I’d probably bounce between 20 and 25% really. So, how accurate that 4% is… who knows :). But since that’s what it said on the day I was measuring, it stays :). Now I’ll have to hope that I get less than that next time! I’m certain that it’s much lower than say caliper measurements would be but I’m using it more as a measurement of loss rather than completely accurate number. Sort of like if a scale reads 15lbs heavier, if you lose five pounds it’s still a loss of five regardless of whether the scale reads heavy or light as long as it consistently reads heavy or light.

Well if it makes you feel any better… I noticed that you looked skinner than the last time I saw you…

Haha! Sounds like trying to measure your stats with a Wii Fit! I’m lucky to be skinny enough that I can tell if I’ve dropped any bodyfat by just poking myself in the stomach. If it gives less than before, weight was lost!

Hi Tim :). I’m about to head to my basement and work off the JD’s I just had! Yum Yum!!! I shouldn’t have gone there but had to go to the bank in Appleton. I’m not to concerned with my weight, just in one area I’d really like to lose it but since I can’t lose it in one area, I’ll have to deal with it ;). Legs weren’t too skinny were they? I’m hoping the added muscle helped a bit :).
