Next Week
So, this upcoming week is my off week. Since I did only one workout this week (yes, I know, terrible) and it happened to be on Christmas, well, I know I should have done better.
I’m planning on doing the 100 push up program while doing kettlebells. Since the 100 push up plan is a six week program and kettlebells are one week off, five weeks on, one week off, five weeks on I plan to start the push up program this upcoming “off” week.
Anyone want to join in? It’ll be my own little competition :). Start date of 12-29-08 (tomorrow). Three workouts per week on non-consecutive days. They say it should take about 30 min a week so average about 10 min per workout.
Check out http://hundredpushups.com/index.html to get the workouts if you want to try it!!!
First one today, 6 min. Cake ;).
I tried the 100 push up challenge and failed miserably! I just kind of let it go and decided it wasn’t really that important to me whether I could do a 100 push ups or not. Maybe I’ll try it again sometime. Good luck to you with it. Hopefully, you’ll do better than me.
I tried doing the 100 push ups as well, but since I take a lot of classes that incorporate pushups, I could not figure out how to juggle it! At one class, I just didn’t do them but I felt like an idiot. One of these days I will try again. Good luck with it. Pushups are great!!
Both of you tried this already! Ah, why did I not start blogging sooner? Then I could have had a partner :).
Teresa, you’re right, it’s not that important. But I’m a bit psycho sometimes :). I wrote a post a while back saying, “why would anyone want to do this” and in that same post something about of course wanting to try it :). I’d like some more strength in my upper body and when I get to where I’m going to get, I’d like to try to be able to work up to 25 consecutive pull ups from a dead hang.
Judie, that would be harder, having them in classes as well. Most classes do have some sort of push-up right? I remember doing them in the classes when I was a member at a gym a long while back.
